Have I Told You Lately

I was never meant to sing this! It was recorded for my friend, for him to sing. Plan being, an extra valentine gift for his wife. He acussed me of writing it for My Voice!? They argued. So i sung it. again i hope to rerecord it as a duet for the vinyl version. Originaly written by Van Morrison. Thanks for the sample at the end!

Acoustic guitar by Steve Pantlin, borrowing Vivikas classical acoustic (if you listen closely you can hear Steve throw the guitar away in disgust when he's finished!) Steve also played funky 70's Bass!

Have I Told You Lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.

For the morning sun in all it's glory,
Meets the day with hope and comfort too,
You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.

There's a love that's devine,
And it's yours and it's mine,
Like the sun.
And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To The One, to The One.

Have I Told You Lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.

There's a love that's devine,
And its yours and its mine,
Like the sun. And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To The One, to The One.

Have I Told You Lately That I Love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.

Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.

Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
